While this is a minimally invasive treatment without significant downtime, it is recommended to get dermal fillers 1-2 weeks before any major event due to possible bruising. You may have mild pain after injection which can be alleviated with Tylenol and icing. If you have significant bruising, pain, or discoloration, you should contact your injector immediately. It is recommended to avoid aspirin, NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin) for 7 days prior to any injections.
Avoid make up on the area for 12 hours post treatment
Avoid laying on the area treated area post treatment as the filler can move and there can also be increased swelling by doing so
Lumps and bumps are to be expected in the first couple of weeks after treatment. If there are any significant bumps, contact your injector.
Similarly, to any injection, there may be bruising that occurs afterwards. It is recommended to avoid aspirin, NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin) for 7 days prior to any injections. Strenuous activity should be avoided in the first few days post treatment to reduce risk of bruising. Make up may be applied 12 hours post treatment.
